Bodywork Group Dynamics - how to effectively use your own body when leading a group as facilitator, teacher or therapist.
Saturday and Sunday 7/8 February 2009
You are cordially invited to this 2-day continued professional development (CPD) workshop which is open to trained therapists, bodyworkers and psychotherapists interested in a bodywork perspective on group dynamics.
In this workshop we shall explore the importance of your body in the context of leading a group - either as group facilitator (therapeutic framework) or as teacher (teaching framework). Learning to use your own body as an effective instrument in recognizing, responding to, and influencing group dynamics and processes enhances your skills as group leader. Your body can become your best friend, teacher, and inner supervisor in a group situation.
Body language, character structure body interactions, body to body communication, body-transference and body-countertransference in the context of group dynamics will be explored, both theoretically and practically in group and teaching examples. Bring situations from your own experience to enrich your learning!
The workshop will take place at The Open Centre, 10am - 5.30pm both days. Fee £120.
